euros double. Refer to the Bombardier Transportation group.
(2) Special Needs:
If anyone has special needs, e.g. vegetarian meal, mobility
assistance etc., please let me know.
(3) Passport scans:
The Barajas Airport security people require, for anyone who
intends to take the Barajas APM tour on Thursday evening, June
19th, a copy of their passport (opened to the picture page) two
weeks in advance.
I would request that anyone who intends to take the tour
should send a pdf file of the passport scan to me as soon as
possible, but no later than the end of May, so that I can
consolidate them and forward them to our office in Madrid during
the first week of June. My address is --> paul.didrikson@ca.transport.bombardier.com
A concern was expressed about identity theft. Here is what I
suggest (thanks to Ray Warner): In Adobe Acrobat it is possible
to password protect a pdf file so that a password is required to
open the file. The menu selection is:
File --> Document Security --> Standard --> check
the box "password required to open", and enter a password.
The pdf file can then be e-mailed, and the password sent to
me in a separate e-mail (or by other means, e.g. telephone to 1-
613-484-0815). My secretary, Teri, will consolidate all of the
pdfs into one pdf file with a page for each, and put another
password on the consolidated pdf file for transmission to
Madrid. We will ensure that the information is handled in a
secure manner.
If anyone prefers to fax the passport to me, the number is
1-613-634-5321, but I would prefer pdf files. Please notify by
e-mail even if faxing.
thanks and regards,
Paul Didrikson
